Well, for those who might not know, the Fruit Bat and I went home this weekend, it was good to see the family and sleep in my own bed again. (Bed... I love my bed... My roooomm... I love my rooomm...) Exciting news on the family front, mine has just grown by two people! This is my shoutout to my new kid sister and kid brother, who shall for paranoia's sake go unnamed. We've officially adopted them now, the court day was today. I was sad that I couldn't be there, but they sent me some nice pictures.
Also, when I went home I got to see the kittens, I'm sure you can find the post on the kittens if you don't know what I'm talking about. Well, it turned out that Squall was a girl, Tighri and Leo are boys. Squall's been adopted by a family that Fruit Bat knows and I don't, so I didn't get to see her. Her name has been changed (twice), first she was Skitzadoodle, or "Skit", now she's "Piper". I didn't count on anyone keeping the names I called them by, so I'm not too upset. She'll always be Squall to me.
I did get to see Tighri and Leo, because I know the family that adopted them. It was extremely gratifying to see them so healthy and happy. Leo has perked right up, and is far more adventurous than his brother Tighri. Their names have also been changed, Tighri is now "Simon," and Leo is now "Garfield." A play on Simon and Garfunkle, or so I'm told. Their eyes have changed color too, but they wouldn't stay still long enough for me to tell what color they are now.
Another shoutout goes to the Squirt, who's band made it to finals in the Bands of America competition- which meant I didn't get to see her much this last weekend, but that's okay, I'm almost a band kid by association so I know how important it is to them. Squirt doesn't play an instrument by the way, she's in Color Guard, waving flags, leaping and cracking her knuckles on rifles. Squirt, that picture up top is the one I was telling you about, the original is by YoukaiYume on DeviantART, called Chrono Cross sketch. It took me a loooong time to get it all colored in paint, and then I had to fix Kid's skin, and I'm still not happy with the way it looks!
