Gone in a Flash

I'm fully aware that my generation holds a supreme dislike for learning- especially when they don't see the benefit of it, but today was ridiculous.
I'm taking a computer design class, most of it is just alignment and font- stuff like that. We've also been assigned to create a website (which won't actually be on the web), but before we start Dreamweaver (which is what we'll be using,) we do a quick runthrough of basic flash. It was at this point when my professor confessed to the class that flash is not required for the website, and she will not be counting absent those who miss today and the next class (which is still over flash) if anybody wanted to just leave, since they weren't interested in flash.
My class is a pretty decent size, mid 20's I'd say. The ones who stayed? Three. Myself and two other students.
That's just silly.
On the plus side, I got my name to spin around and fire to shoot up from the bottom of the screen. Looks like crap, but it was fun.
For something that doesn't look half- bad, I direct your attention to the picture above. Yes. I colored that. Yes. It took a long time. Oddly enough, the background was the easiest- I've broken down and started using gradients occasionally. See if you can figure out where I used them.
