Blood Drive and Baka Humans!

Over labor day weekend I went to my Granny and Papa's and had a blast!!! First I met them at church and while I was there I donated my blood. It was the 6th or 7th time I'd donated and I have never had problems before but this time I almost passed out. The nurses made me stay laying down for 20 minutes which was annoying but they had to. I understand that.

There are four children at my new church who have been diagnosed with leukemia and I share the same blood type with one of them; A- which is a pretty rare blood type so I'm more than likely going to be donating mine to him. I also took a test to see if my bone marrow type will match his. They're supposed to call me to let me know. I REALLY hope it does! I want to help one of these kids. I'd love to help all of them but if I can only help one, that's better than none of them. It was sad seeing him sick and not wanting to go play with the other kids. I believe he's 6 or 7. I'm not sure though but it was depressing because that's not how little kids should be.

While I was at my Granny and Papa's house I noticed a horse behind their house in a dirt pen that had never been there before. So, naturally, I went inside and grabbed three apples and gave them to her. While I fed her I noticed flies in a group right above her right eye where the halter had slipped off of her ear. I pulled it up and she had a deep cut from the halter being on her for too long right above her eye. I climbed the fence and pulled the halter over her head and tossed it on the fence. It had been on her so long that the buckle wouldn't come loose. I was really pissed about the owners having left it on her that long. I figured maybe her halter had just slipped over her right ear and been like that for a few hours but from the look of the wound it had been several days. I swear people are so baka!!!

Alas, many are.

I also helped my Papa mow a HUGE yard! It was fun until I got extremly hot and began feeling light-headed. I don't think it helped that I was still low on blood. heh..oh well! Twas fun!!!!

Hang out- Keep your hand at the level of your Eyes

Hey all,

So last night the Fruit Bat and I were hanging out, discussing our (sadly limited) movie-viewing future and I learned something shocking.

My dear friend, the Fruit Bat, is a Raoul fan. A member of the 2% part of the population who prefers Raoul to the Phantom of the Opera. How shocking!!

Oh well, I still love you anyway, because she does admit that the Phantom's voice is better than Raoul's. I will even admit, (to my constant bemusement,) that the first time I saw the Phantom of the Opera, I was happy that Christine chose Raoul. I love Erik, but he was just too controling and jelous. After watching it a second time though, I fell in love with his character... he just needs someone to show him that not everyone he loves will abandon him. After we've established that, we can move on to actual improvement of his (admitedly dubious,) morals.

But until that day, Keep your hands at the Level of your Eyes!

Tamaki, Kiss Haruhi

VERY VERY CUTE!!!! It makes me happy!!! :D If you LOVE Ouran High School Host Club and adore the Tamaki/Haruhi pairing then take a look. By the way, all you people who don't know about this show, Haruhi is the brown haired girl and Tamaki is obviously the blonde. Oh, and Haruhi is pretending to be a guy to be in the Host club. LOL! :D XD

Stars and Managing sickness

I'm sorry you're homesick, Fruit Bat- but at least we have each other. I'm not quite as homesick as I thought I would be- probably because I am so antisocial.... -_-; Another, happier reason could be that I'm just viewing my stay here as an extended, labor intensive camp. I know that I'll be going home. And I know from expierence that time slips away from us, so I know I'll be going home soon. What I do miss are all my friends... Those few wonderful people I hung out with throughout High School. But writing this way will only make me depressed.

On to the stars....
Some (or none) of you are probably wondering about my name, Vulpecula. Well, Vulpecula is a constellation, (lit. Little Fox) that appears in the late summer sky, specifically in August, the month I was born. It's not a big, or an old, constellation, it's only three stars, and despite the old-sounding name, was made much more recently.
Another constellation I feel has special importance (right now anyway...) is Ophiuchus, the serpent bearer. He's aparently the thirteenth sign of the zodiac, though there should only be twelve. It's supposed to be, the sun is in such and such constellation in such and such month, and that's where we got the zodiac. But they thought there were only 11, and panicked. So they cut the claws off of Scorpio and called it Libra- which is why Libra is the only constellation that doesn't represent a living thing. But they have recently discovered that the sun does pass through Ophiuchus, so it is a zodiac sign. I'm curious though- does that make Ophiuchus like the cat in the Chinese Zodiac, or would Libra be the cat, because Libra doesn't really belong?
(The point of all this was that my Chemistry teacher wanted to know if any of us knew what Ophiuchus meant, and thanks to my star-study, I did. First question I knew the answer to, I'm still proud.)

Home Sickness...:(

The title says it all: I am home sick. Very much so. I just got off work about an hour ago and well...on my way home I was listening to my japanese music and I felt a terrible need to see my family and friends. *sigh* I miss all of you...

I am sitting in the laundry room right now waiting for my clothes to finish and I feel lonely. My three room mates left for this weekend and I'm pretty much alone. Vulpecula and I are going to be hanging out tomorrow night when I get off work but til then I just feel abandoned. I'm probably going to head over to my Granny and Papa's and spend the weekend over there. Just thinking about it makes me feel SO much better!

On my way home from work it was lightening. It was absolutely gorgous! Major distraction for me when I'm driving. LOL! When it started raining everyone in my apartment area went inside but me I went outside. I LOVE the rain and it fits my mood quite well right now. Wow...I sound emo. My point is; why do most people not like the rain? Or standing in it? I find it amazing, refreashing, exciting,...Anyways, if anyone can enlighten me please do.

Hey, Eric you should email me back sometime. No, scratch that I'll just call you tomorrow.

Martha, I'm gonna send you my cell number so we can maybe talk.

Ttyl, bu, bye!!! :D

Love,

~Fruit Bat~

Greetings and Salutations

Hello, all, or few, or whoever the heck reads these.
I am Vulpecula, formerly known as L.
I don't read/ watch Death Note, so please don't think of me as a human panda with an addiction to sugar.
I am the one who gave Fruit Bat her new name, thanks to her insomnia and appreciation for fruit.
This is my first-ever blog... so entries will be random, erratic, and may cause you to question the meaning of life, certainly the meaning of the posts.
Until next time,
Vulpecula
